Most jobs will go through one of our folding machines. Whether it’s folded sections ready to be bound, or putting the last fold into a leaflet, folding is one of the most fundamental processes a sheet of paper will undergo.

For folded leaflets, there’s a huge range of different folds available – from a single fold for a greetings card up to complex map folds or gate folds.

The diagrams below shows these differences with our terminology. This is not an exhaustive list, as folds can be added to a sheet in innumerable ways.

There are some limitations depending on which material you’re using – thicker stocks don’t fold as well as thinner stocks for example and would require a crease.
